I'm currently working hard on joining various conversations in the blogosphere (including my own blog) instead of just having my say and leaving it at that. And I don't do phone work. Three years ago I could barely figure out how to get email to work, now I can do some basic HTML programming as well as a tonne of other stuff. Unfortunately it isn't paid work - at least not paid in cash - but payment has been copious as far as experience goes! I use my volunteer work to step out of my comfort zone.
