I was really flattered to find out that Suzanne Babb had selected my blog as one of her seven favourites and granted me a “Brillante Weblog Premio Award”. The only condition of accepting the award is that I have to in turn give it to my top seven bloggers. There has been some discussion on the web about this as it’s not a true award, but simply a meme, but from my point of view, it is a compliment to have been chosen and I hope the following people will receive it in the same spirit.
I have to join Suzanne in putting Marcia Francois on my list. She writes several blogs, but the one I most enjoy is Marcia’s take charge blog, because she offers a good mix of organizing tips, business success strategies, and interesting photos.
Someday Syndrome – I think Alex Fayle was my first “real life” friend to begin blogging, but that’s not why he’s on my list. I really admire the way he has openly shared his personal journey with the world and the way he can find life lessons even in seemingly everyday events. He’s recently given his blog a brand new look and focus, and I strongly encourage you to check it out if you’re not already a reader.
Andrea J. Stenberg of The Baby Boomer Entrepreneur always has lots of great ideas for marketing and using social networking sites effectively, and she specifically writes for people of my (cough cough) generation.
For really practical stuff, I like Sanjay Singh’s MS Outlook for Business blog. Just when I think I’ve learned everything there is to know about Outlook, he comes out with some new time-saving tip!
Of the many virtual assistants’ blogs that I read, Yvonne Weld’s Thriving Business Blog is definitely one of the best. Her insight is valuable both to VAs and those who work with them (or who are thinking about it).
Because I’m such a fan of Facebook, I also enjoy reading Why Facebook? Social Networking for Fun and Profits! by Mari Smith.
With 17 contributing writers, it’s really not in the same class as the others, but one of the most amazing blogs I read is MakeUseOf.com – it is so packed with information that I can’t keep up with all the posts!
It was much harder than I thought it would be to pick out only seven, so I do hope you’ll pay them all a visit!

WOW, Janet. Thanks so much. I can honestly say NO ONE has ever given that ‘lil old blog of mine an award
This made my day. Do you like the new look, btw?
Marcia – yes, it’s lovely – very well organized!
*blush*
Thanks Janet! That’s so wonderful of you!
(goes away singing: I won a Premio! I won a Premio!)
Oh now, Alex, don’t be getting a swelled head!
Marcia – I’m so glad you did – those are just lovely! (even if not truly wordless)
Thanks a mil for the props, Janet!! I appreciate your kind feedback. If I can ever be of assistance to you personally with Facebook, just give me a shout!!
Cheers,
Mari
