With only five weeks left until 2009, it seems that everyone’s talking about calendars! This week Suzanne Babb tagged me in her post on Calendars and Agendas, The Voice of Mom reviewed Sarah Pinto Planners, and Laurel Ann blogged about Jane Austen Inspired Calendars! Then of course there was my post last week asking What Type of Calendar Do YOU Use? I received lots of responses to that question, so I encourage you to check them out and to add your own two cents worth, if you haven’t already.
One of the comments was left by Geralin Thomas of Metropolitan Organizing, who was kind enough to follow up with this video outlining the way she uses her calendar:
The video is one of many produced by Organizing Connection, an online community developed by Niki, the Minimalist Mommy, and organizer Elaine Shannon. I actually had the pleasure of working with Elaine on the National Board for Professional Organizers in Canada, demonstrating that it really is a small world.

Hello Janet,
Back at ya girl…I loved being on the POC board and I love my organizing peeps. It is truly a small world when people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds all perfom the same loving work with their clients to help them cut through the clutter of life.
Thanks for mentioning the site. My business partner Kim Eagles and I have an amazing team of people , including Niki our official blogger and professional organizers from all over the world who have put so much loving energy into the creatin of this online resource. Thanks Geralin for all your energy and creativity and sharing your expertise…..wow…we are sharing the organizing love.
Thanks a bunch and keep up the great work.

Is this the part where I say, “I’d like to thank all the people that made this possible…?”
No? Well, in that case I’ll get right to the point and say that thanks to both of you I’ve had several nice folks tell me that any-and-all calendar tips they hear about are useful. Even if the way I’m using my calendar isn’t right for them, they have been able to take bits and pieces of tips and make it their own.
I think organizers everywhere enjoy helping folks and it’s nice to be part of a group like that!
Elaine and Geralin, even though I’m not an organizer anymore, I’m happy that my work allows me to stay connected to so many industry experts and that I’m still considered a part of the organizing community.
