I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been nominated for the Thomas Leonard International Virtual Assistant of Distinction Award! I’m very honoured, and would like to thank my loyal clients for their support. The award will be presented at the International Virtual Assistants Day Celebration (IVAD) on Friday, May 15, 2009, between 5:15 and 7:00 pm EDT, and I hope you’ll be able to join me at this free online event.
International Virtual Assistants Day is just one part of the Online International Virtual Assistants Convention (OIVAC), taking place this year from Thursday, May 14 to Saturday, May 16. Once again founder Sharon Williams is going on a Podcast and Blog Hopping Tour to promote the convention and the VA industry, and as she makes her journey, she’ll be leaving clues at each stop. Unscramble the clues to figure out the mystery phrase, and you might win one of the many prizes which will also be given out at the IVAD celebration.
Sharon’s tour begins today at Partnering With a Virtual Assistant, and she’ll be stopping by this blog on Wednesday to answer some questions about OIVAC, so be sure to come back to collect your clue and to learn more about this unique event.
In the meantime, please stop by Alex Fayle’s blog and read my Someday Interview.

Janet this is fantastic news! What a well deserved and prestigious honour. I’ll have my fingers crossed for you on May 15th!
Congratulations, Janet! And well-deserved, too
I’m heading over to Alex’s now…
Thanks to all of you for your kind words. It’s so exciting, and May 15th seems so far away!
Denise, there are two other VA conferences taking place this spring – one in Montreal, and one in Niagara Falls (which I’ll be attending). What’s great about OIVAC is that it’s accessible even to VAs who can’t get away due to family commitments or for financial or other reasons.
Outstanding, Janet! I’m excited for you – how very cool. Interview subject AND award nominee. You are quite the model of accomplishment to emulate. I’m inspired.
I think it’s fun/funny that the convention of virtual assistants is held online. It seems totally appropriate, but not something I’d have considered.
