The other day I blogged that A Tidy Blog is a Readable Blog, referring specifically to consistency of fonts and formatting throughout a blog. There are, of course, other factors that determine whether your blog’s appearance will encourage or deter visitors from returning.
Unfortunately, my schedule did not allow me to keep up with ProBlogger’s 31 Days to Build a Better Blog program, or perhaps I should say “fortunately” as I’ve been very busy with some exciting client projects. However, my blogging buddies and I have identified a few areas on my blog that could be improved, so if you’re a regular visitor, you may notice a few changes.
The feeds from two of my other blogs have been replaced with one neat box listing my most recent posts on other sites, to make it easier for you to find the information that interest you.
I’ve also added a few new pages to the menu so you can more easily learn about my services and products and get in touch with me, and removed the Blogroll page which was not terribly functional. I’ll be adding a new and improved Blogroll and making some additional enhancements in the near future.

I also wanted to mention that bloggers should check their RSS feed and make sure their readers are getting something that looks nice too.
I’ve received several blogs where there is text [picture] and the picture is right in the mi[picture]ddle of a sentence or word.
It makes it hard to read. Give your readers a good experience. Check your coding!
Jacki, thank you so much for mentioning the RSS feed! I checked mine and realized it was only sending a partial post with a link to my blog. I knew this was happening in Facebook, but didn’t realize it was a problem with my RSS feed. I Googled the problem, and found an answer at kidpurple.com, so I’d like to thank you for prompting me to look into it, and kidpurple for helping me solve it so easily!
