What are you doing tomorrow? Would you like to come to a party?
Don’t worry; it’s not the type of party where you have to dress up or worry about driving home safely. It’s a blog party, and it’s happening right here!
I don’t want to spoil the surprise by telling you all about it now, but there will be a game, with a prize for the winner!
The party will run all weekend, in case you can’t make it on Friday, so please don’t miss it!
I hope you enjoyed today’s picture… as I typed the title of the post, I had this sudden flashback from my childhood. I went to my bookcase and, sure enough, I still have the book! I see that someone else’s name is written in it, so if that person wants it back, she should let me know…

I never turn down an invite from A-listers!
I’m feeling festive so count me in, Janet.
I will look forward to seeing you both there. Feel free to bring a friend or two or fifty!
This is a happening place to be. Of COURSE I’ll attend the party.
Yay Julie – I always suspected you were a party girl.
Thanks for the invite ~ YES, I’ll be here!
Wow, this is turning into quite the gathering of professional organizers!
I would love to join you at your party. You have some fantastic guest attending.
Wow, this is turning out to be quite the event! Maybe I should’ve sprung for a new outfit!
I Love Parties, count me in!!
I’m wearing my party hat, party shoes, party dress. Which way?
Would I by chance be the “someone else” whose name is in that book? I remember it as your book. But did I try at some point to claim it as mine, I wonder? Or was it one of our cousins?
Whoever’s name is written in it, please bring it along on Saturday! Don’t worry, I won’t try to stop you taking it home again.
This is just wonderful – I’ve just made arrangements to get a bigger room to accommodate all the guests!
Yes, Kathy, you did write your name in the book, but it is fairly mature printing, so I suspect you may have borrowed it when you were teaching. I remember it as mine too, and it was clearly one of my favourites, since it’s one of the few picture books I still have. (not counting yours, of course!) I also have “Spaceship to the Moon” which predates either of us – I’ll bring it along too. I’m sure I still have “Boswell’s Life of Boswell” but I can’t put my hands on it. It was quite well-loved (i.e. falling apart), so I must have put it away in a safe place.
