First, we talk about why you need a new website. Some of my questions may go beyond what you’ve thought about, but they’re designed to give us both a thorough understanding of what you’re trying to achieve. Once I have a clear picture of your objectives, if I feel we’re a good fit, I’ll send you a detailed proposal.
I’ve discovered that one of the keys to project success is having a solid plan right from the start. Delays don’t do either of us any good, so you’ll need to supply all of your content and other required information before I begin working on your project.
Before diving into the actual website, I build a sitemap, so we can get on the same page very quickly about what we’re trying to communicate and the best way to structure the information.
I’m a visual person, and so are many of my clients. So instead of trying to describe what I plan to create for you, I build an interactive prototype to show you how my solution will work. The prototype is a “plain vanilla” version of your website to demonstrate layout and functionality, without colors or other distracting elements.
Once your prototype is finalized, things get really exciting! When I introduce your brand identity to your prototype, the magic begins.
Once you’ve approved the design, your content and any final touches will be added.
I do a final check to make sure everything is working properly before launching your new website for all the world to see.
